They have delivered before. The project team knows how they work. The investor recognises the name. There is already a level of trust.
Choosing a supplier you have not worked with before requires something different.
Not another brochure. Not another statement about quality. And not necessarily the lowest price.
It requires enough evidence to make the decision defensible.
This matters particularly with bathroom pods.
A bathroom pod supplier is not simply delivering a finished product. They become part of a process involving design development, BIM coordination, procurement, factory production, quality control, logistics, installation planning and multiple interfaces with the building.
So when a project team evaluates a supplier it has not worked with before, the real question is often not:
“Can they manufacture this bathroom?”

“Can we trust them to control their part of the process and manage the interfaces with ours?”

- How is the approved standard maintained across tens or hundreds of bathrooms?
These questions make quality tangible.
They also make it easier to compare suppliers on something more meaningful than reputation or presentation quality.
A finished bathroom may look similar at handover.
The process behind it may be very different.
The mock-up should reduce uncertainty, not simply show the finishes.

But only if it is treated as more than a showroom.
It is the point at which the project team can verify the bathroom at full scale before repeating the same decisions across the entire order.
That means checking not only tiles, sanitaryware and visual details, but also:
