EcoReadyBath has delivered prefabricated bathroom pods for Residenz Seiblishof in Mathon, Ischgl, Austria. The modules incorporated kitchen plumbing connections and an electrical distribution board serving the wider apartment. The Alpine location also required a transfer during delivery because the articulated transport vehicle could not reach the building directly.
The completed delivery marks EcoReadyBath’s first project in Austria, extending its project portfolio alongside Germany, the UK, Poland and Switzerland.
Bathroom pod installations serving the wider apartment
At Residenz Seiblishof, the installation scope extended beyond the services needed within the bathroom itself. EcoReadyBath incorporated:
* An electrical distribution board within the pod wall, from which the installation serves other rooms.
* Hot and cold water supplies and wastewater drainage for the kitchen.
* Openings and service connections on the kitchen-facing side of the module, positioned according to the client’s kitchen layout.
This brought part of the apartment’s installation work into factory production. Kitchen service connections were prepared within the bathroom module, with the remaining connections to be completed on site.
The project illustrates how adjacent spaces can be considered when defining the scope of bathroom prefabrication. Where the layout allows, services for a neighbouring kitchen can form part of the module package.
That scope needs to be coordinated during design. The kitchen arrangement, connection positions and division between factory and site work must be agreed before manufacture. These decisions determine what can be completed within the module and what the site team will need to connect.
Delivering bathroom pods to a site with restricted access
The steep approach to Residenz Seiblishof prevented the articulated delivery truck from reaching the building directly. A transfer was therefore required for the final stage of transport, and the modules successfully reached the site.
For project teams considering bathroom pods, this is a practical example of delivery despite restricted access. The route to the building needs to be assessed as part of logistics planning, including any additional handling required along the way.
